I think graphic design is the art of drawing attention by correcting and improving the complexities and ugliness of our daily life. You don’t need to be very expert to measure the quality of graphic design, but you need to be honest. Everyone has the right to make a choice. Thanks to that right; they give their consent, but they are also quickly affected. For example, when you say your opinion about a job that has been done, you can influence those around and their thoughts may change instantly. When evaluating a possible campaign, it will be correct to examine it on objective and non-influenced target audiences. Shortly, advertising is a mostly experimental mechanism and might have very surprising effects.
If we go through another example, let’s talk about a choice that almost every person makes in a certain part of our lives. Let’s think of a person who has decided to buy a car, there are many options to choose from… However, since the vehicles are products designed by taking into account the general characteristics of the target markets, it enables them to consider only 5 types of brands out of 350 brands at the same time. This is what we call the design suitable for the target audience. Now there comes an external factor; “But the trunk is small, the interior volume is narrow,” he/she says. In this case, the affected person starts to think about 5 other models. Because of external factors, it switched to another target audience. Shortly, design and campaigns must reduce complexity and advance by retaining beauty. Otherwise it makes it difficult for you to choose. At the end of all this, the choice is yours. Making you choose is the job of the expert.
